What's your business, and who are your customers?
WELNOX Studio is a boutique Dental, Health & Wellness clinic located in Philadelphia Center City. We offer four distinct services so you can easily find the specialist you need:

Tell us about yourself
While working in the Healthcare sector, I developed a passion for improving the industry's operations to better serve patients and medical practitioners. Over the years, I started questioning why our health and wellness system is separated by a series of healthcare professionals operating in silos in multiple locations. Seeing patients having to navigate their appointments with different specialists that didn't look at them as a whole sparked a motivation and an idea for a change. Dental, Health, and Wellness care could be broken down into parts, but each piece is ultimately inextricable from the whole. I understood the importance of bridging this gap, and his goal was to bring it all together with the patient's overall care as the primary focus.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I feel my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is yet to come. To be honest, I feel this will always be the case. Let me explain. When starting to think about the business, my biggest accomplishment was deciding that I would take the risk and open WELNOX. Then my biggest accomplishment was quitting my 9-5 job and pursuing a career as a business owner. Now I feel my biggest accomplishment is when patients visit our office and walk out, having received exceptional service. My biggest accomplishment is yet to come because there is always another important milestone ahead of me.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Uncertainty. There is something magical in trying to do a great job and delivering a great service for your clients, patients, and the community. There are moments when I feel all my efforts are not recognized and I might miss the target but knowing that I serve a purpose bigger than myself (providing exceptional care for my clients) keeps me motivated.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Do not give up - when things are the hardest, that's when you need to persevere the most.
Be flexible - having a vision is important but learn as you go and adjust your strategies based on your learnings.
Network - good people know good people. The more you can surround yourself with a strong network, the higher your chances to succeed.
